Two
of the top companies in the Colorado golf
industry, McGetrick Golf Academy and Rocky
Mountain Golf have combined to form the
McGetrick Rocky Mountain Golf Academy .
Located at the Family Sports Center
complex in Centennial, the new business
will offer the best in golf instruction,
custom fitting of golf equipment and
repair.
The
flagship McGetrick Golf Academy will
remain at Green Valley Ranch Golf Club,
but the Academy will expand to offer a
variety of programs for golfers of all
levels at the Family Sports Center.
McGetrick
Golf Academy has been providing golf
instruction in the Denver area for ten
years, located at Meridian Golf Club,
Englewood, Colorado from its inception
until moving to a new facility at Green
Valley Ranch Golf Club, Denver, Colorado
in 2003. The Academy has been rated by
Golf Magazine as a Top 25 Golf School in
America since the award was initiated in
1997.
Mike

the country's finest golf teachers: number
eight on Golf Digest's current ranking of
America's Top 50 Greatest Teachers, one of
Golf Magazines Top 100 Teachers, 1999 PGA
National Teacher of the Year, five time
Colorado Section PGA Teacher of the Year,
and 2000 Colorado Golf Person of the Year.

1992 at Grand Golf driving range in
Highlands Ranch, Colorado. In 2000 Rocky
Mountain Golf relocated to Mountain View

I-25.
Rocky
Mountain Golf has now moved its operations
from Mountain View Golf Course to the

complete line of equipment from all the
top manufacturers to lend their expertise
in custom fitting for irons, woods, wedges
,putters, and golf balls with the use of a
launch monitor computer system. Rocky
Mountain Golf also has a full line golf
shop located at the outlets in Castle
Rock, featuring golf equipment and
everything else you need for golf at
factory outlet pricing.
Through
Brent Sailer And Tyler Kimble's
leadership, Rocky Mountain Golf has
established itself as one of the nation's
finest club fitting businesses. Rocky
Mountain Golf has received numerous awards
from major club manufacturers over the
past decade in recognition of their
expertise and success in the golf club
business. Their staff, led by Verne
Woolen, has developed a well-deserved
reputation of being able to successfully
work with golfers of all abilities, from
the beginner to the scratch player while
accommodating everyone's budget.
McGetrick
Rocky Mountain Golf Academy will be
offering a wide range of instruction
programs for golfers of all levels.
Private, one-on-one lessons and small
group (2-4) sessions will provide a great
opportunity to have an instructor work
closely with individuals on any aspect of
their game. Custom club fitting allows
anyone the chance to ensure the equipment
they use will match their individual
attributes. Full-swing and Short-game golf
schools will be highly focused to help
students hone the respective parts of
their game. Special classes for beginning
golfers will allow new players to learn
the game in a very friendly atmosphere.
Programs specifically designed for junior
golfers will offer a variety of options
for the younger golfers to take their
games to another level.
The
Family Sports Center golf facility
provides a great venue for golfers. Its
short game area is one of the finest in
the state, allowing golfers to simulate
nearly any shot from one-hundred yards or
less that they may encounter on a golf
course. With a combination of grass tee
areas for instruction, as well as covered
tee areas for inclement weather, the
facility enables golfers the opportunity
to work on their game year-round. And,
with the nine-hole golf course on site,
players can take their instruction right
to the course. The entire complex is an
especially great place for the entire
family, including kids, to play and
practice.
Says
McGetrick, "The facilities at the Family
Sports Center complex allow us to offer
golfers, in the southern Denver market, an
opportunity to experience outstanding golf
instruction while also being able to test
the latest in golf equipment, all at one
location. Our teaching staff has a vast
range of experience and looks forward to
working with new students as well as their
existing clients.
We
envision golfers of all levels being able
to find something that will help them.
And, with the practice facilities and
driving range amenities available here,
golfers can make this a full service
destination for all of their golf needs."
Recognizing
everyone's busy lifestyles, the Academy
hours of operation will be extensive
during the summer to help everyone find a
convenient time for instruction or club
fitting.
"While
we will carry the absolute finest in golf
clubs and equipment, we will also have a
variety of selection to appeal to
everyone's budget. Our vast assortment of
demo clubs are always available for
testing on the outdoor range so you can
try the equipment where you actually use
it
outdoors. With our staff of
trained club fitters and repair personnel,
we can custom build clubs here on site and
also make adjustments and repairs as
needed. Or, we can order clubs to meet an
individual's unique requirements" said
Tyler Kimble, General Manager of the new
venture.
