Red Hawk Ridge
An Idyllic Location, Superb Conditioning and a Jim Engh
Course Distinguish this Castle Rock Golf Community

Nestled in the thriving Castle Rock community, 20 minutes south of Denver and 30 minutes North of Colorado Springs, lies one of Colorado's most popular public courses, Red Hawk Ridge at Castle Rock. Golfers have replaced the cattle that once ranged over the lush meadows beside the old rock quarry, scrub oak and arid hillsides. But the scrub oak, extreme elevation changes, and the views remain untouched.

Red Hawk Ridge was designed by renowned architect Jim Engh of Castle Rock, Colorado.

"The designing of Red Hawk Ridge was less about creating the golf course than it was about discovering the golf course that has been hidden within the spectacular land". Land in its natural state conjured up visions of tees, fairways, roughs and greens to golf course architect, Jim Engh. Enhancing what the land offers, rather than contrived manipulation, provides a pristine beauty in golf. The beauty, as well as the feeling the golfer experiences coupled with the challenge level of the round of golf, should always be harmonious, as it is at Red Hawk Ridge Golf Course.

Red Hawk Ridge at Castle Rock has now been open to the public for barely over one year. This spectacularly conditioned and managed golf course has already amassed several National awards that is practically unheard of for new facilities.

"We are very proud of the recognition we have received both locally and nationally" stated Ron Horton, Director of Golf at Red Hawk Ridge. "We constantly receive calls all over the country from customers stating they had heard or read about us and would like a tee time". A significant reason for the success of Red Hawk Ridge is no secret formula. A large majority of regular golfers desire what Red Hawk Ridge has consistently offered; superb course conditioning, excellent views, and unsurpassed customer service at a fair price. "Our attention to detail and listening to our customers has and always will be the highest of priorities". This relentless work ethic and constant striving for perfection comes from a PGA staff with over 40 years of experience in the golf industry.

Red Hawk Ridge has begun construction on their new clubhouse this month. This new facility will boast a well-stocked golf shop, indoor dining facility, and an outdoor covered deck overlooking the front range and the rocky mountains. Estimated time of completion is next April, just in time for the 2001 golf season. "Our performance has surpassed our expectations from our temporary facility, but we are looking forward to raising our amenities for our customers in the new clubhouse".

The fall colors of Colorado are fast approaching and this beautiful time of year is nearly unsurpassed at Red Hawk Ridge. The lush green fairways and greens lie in sharp contrast to the native grasses and the fall colored scrub oaks.

Red Hawk Ridge takes tee times up to one week in advance and small groups can book two months out with a $10.00 per person reservation fee. Red Hawk Ridge is owned by the Town of Castle Rock and managed by Western Golf Properties of Scottsdale, Arizona.
